During the visit, sports equipment was handed over to the school to encourage greater participation in physical activities. An awareness session was also held to introduce students and teachers to the objectives of Special Olympics and the UCS initiative, with a focus on teamwork, respect, and inclusion.

Tendruk Central School has formally adopted the program and pledged to expand inclusive sports activities on campus. School officials said the initiative would help create more opportunities for all students to participate equally and develop confidence, leadership, and social skills.

The program is also expected to strengthen the school’s culture of inclusion and raise awareness in the wider community about the importance of diversity and equal opportunities in education.

Special Olympics Bhutan acknowledged the school’s commitment and expressed optimism for continued collaboration in advancing inclusive education in the country.
